Following Royal Assent of the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 (Martyn’s Law), the UK Government established a 24-month transition and implementation period, with formal enforcement targeted to begin in Spring 2027.

With official Section 27 statutory guidance now published, the government and the regulator (the Security Industry Authority) strongly encourage organisations to begin planning and preparing immediately rather than waiting for enforcement to begin.
